You can contact Saleh in Rum village, where he's well known; his mother's house is less than 100 metres from the rest house.
Saleh's mobile (though he's often uncontactable, deep in Wadi Rum): 0795 445 966 (or from Europe 00 962 795 445 966).
Saleh's email (which is also copied to us in Holland):

Saleh Musa Sweilheen is a bedouin from the Huwaitat tribe, descendants of the Nabateans who built Petra. He's lived in Wadi Rum all his life and his parents before him. His grandmother's brother, Selim, who died in the village in 2009, is believed to have been over 100 years old.
Saleh's wife is Alia, they have three children, Hajjar, Mu'ad and Omar.
His brother is Atiyek, a mechanic, bedouin climber and tracker.
His mother, who lives with them, is Khadra, who looks after the family's goats and camels.
We have known Saleh and his family since the late 1990s, having come to Jordan ourselves a few years earlier. He is a good friend and the two families are very close. We have helped each other in important ways over the years. This web-site is our latest joint venture.
My name is Tudor Lomas, I'm a former BBC journalist, now based in Holland and Jordan; my partner is Brenda de Jager, a specialist in youth news broadcasting. We know what Saleh has to offer to visitors and we have worked with him to construct a range of tours that provide unforgettable experiences of Rum for everyone except the hardened, technical climber. Saleh is the perfect guide for families, for those who care about history and environment, for those with more time to experience everything Rum has to offer and for those who want an individual tour.
Saleh and his family want everyone who comes to Rum with them to love the place as much as they do. Therefore we welcome constructive feedback, however critical, as long as it is intended to be helpful and to improve what we're doing.
You can contact us by emailing Saleh (the emails are copied to us) and we will make sure you get a full reply; we can also give you phone numbers in Holland and Jordan if you want to discuss things with us personally. We also have our own holiday apartments in other special locations in Jordan.
If you want to write to us directly then PO Box 850191, Amman 11185, Jordan will reach us; but it may be a few weeks before we are able to reply.
